Hello
I'm Hanna. For the class project, I want to build something interactive. Games, creative tools, interactive web experiences, anything that demonstrates both technical skills and good design.
I'm into game development and web development, and I think combining those with accessibility makes for a solid portfolio piece. Plus it's just more interesting to build things that everyone can use.
Accessibility Interests
- Gaming accessibility - Making games playable by everyone through adaptive controls, screen reader support, visual alternatives for audio cues, configurable difficulty, color palettes, etc.
- Interactive web experiences - Building web apps and interactive tools that work well with assistive technologies and keyboard navigation.
- Creative tools - Art apps, music makers, design tools. Making creative software accessible means more people can make things.
What I Bring
- Game development (Unity, Unreal Engine, VR) and interactive design
- Web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React)
- Sound design and music production
- Experience with accessibility guidelines and best practices
- I'm taking like 1 class this semester so I'll be locked in
Check out my website if you want to know more about my experience and my itch.io if you want to see my games.
Project Ideas
I want to build something that's cool, useful, and looks good.
Some directions I'm thinking:
- Accessible game - A polished browser game with full keyboard support, screen reader compatibility, and adjustable difficulty. Could be a puzzle game, rhythm game, platformer. Something fun and accessible.
- Creative web tool - Drawing app, music sequencer, animation tool... something that lets people create and demonstrates our ability to build complex interactive UIs.
- Your idea - Lowkey I'm down to do whatever. If your idea is fire hmu
